The school’s current admissions policy is operated by the Shropshire Local Education Authority (LEA), which is the Admissions Authority for all Community and Controlled Schools within Shropshire. Full details of the policy, together with information about the arrangements for admission, are set out in the “Parents’ Guide to Education in Shropshire”. You can read it online by clicking on the link on this page. You can also read a copy held at the school office.

Children are admitted to this school as “rising fives”, which is one or two terms earlier than the statutory date for entry of children to full-time education. All schools in Shropshire now operate a one-term entry, although parents have the right to defer entry to the statutory starting date.
Admission to Reception
Whilst it is helpful if parents can let the school know at an early date if they would like their child to attend in due course, such expressions of interest do not constitute registering a child nor placing a child’s name on a waiting list nor being offered a place.
Admission to Other Years
Parents who wish to transfer their child to this school from another school should first contact the headteacher.
Assistance about Admissions
This may be obtained from the Local Authority Tel. 01743 254 364.
Parents who wish to visit the school prior to admission or when considering schools may do so by making an appointment through the School Administrator.
